With regard to our waiting list we offer places according the below order of priority

  1. Those who are already a member at 1st Swindon who are due to progress to the next section.
  2. Then, subject to places being available and the young persons age
    • Beavers / Cubs / Scouts / Explorers: Those who have been on the waiting list the longest.

Should a young person not be offered a place in a section we will look to offer a place in the next section when the young person is old enough to join.

Adult volunteers

1st Swindon Scout Group is a voluntary organisation and is dependant on adults giving up their time and energy to ensure the continued success of the Scouting movement both here in Swindon and across the world.

Our adult volunteers come from a wide variety of backgrounds and bring many different skills to the organisation.
