Beavers Beavers are between the ages of 6 and 8 years old. 1st Swindon Sea Scouts has a Beaver unit which meets at our dedicated scout hall (The Wick). Ontario: Meet term time on a Wednesday Evening. Beaver Scouts are the youngest section of the Scouting family at 1st Swindon Sea Scouts. Their activities are based around making things, outdoor activities, singing, playing games, going out on visits, investigating nature, listening to stories, learning how to be safe and most importantly, making new friends. Children join a Beaver Scout Colony for many reasons. It might be they have heard great things from their friends about all the things your Colony gets up to every week. Uniform Beavers wear a blue sweatshirt with a Group scarf and a woggle in the colour of their Lodge. There are also Beavers polo shirts available for summer activity.
